About
Brand-new, hand-made Teardrop Camper that I built in 2021. The base design is from a kit supplied by Chesapeake Light Craft, who specialize in build-your-own kits and plans ranging from kayaks to sailboats and a boat inspired teardrop. The construction of the camper uses a classic boatbuilding method called stitch-and-glue. Materials consist of Okoume marine-grade plywood, assembled using epoxy resin, reinforced with fiberglass and clear coated with a UV resistant varnish to create a strong, lightweight and unique camper. The interior of the teardrop is surprisingly spacious, large enough to fit a queen size mattress and comfortably sleep two adults. To allow for airflow through the camper, a rooftop vent fan and two portholes have been installed. Additionally, the roof structure is reinforced to allow for the installation of roof racks to carry anything from kayaks to bicycles. Unfortunately, family needs have changed so our teardrop is in search of a new home. Ready and excited for your next adventure!
