About

Second Price Drop. Ready to get these things gone, make offer! Tenants move out OCT 1st. May be willing to split and sell smaller yurt alone. Also willing to entertain financing.

I purchased used Colorado Yurts in Colorado in the spring of last year. Moved them to Savannah GA and lived in them a very short while. They have been rented for the last year.

You can follow my build thread up until the point they were almost done here: http://www.yurtforum.com/forums/building-a-yurt-f3/our-savannah-yurts-607.html

That is all pictures I have currently.

So what does this sale come with? EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING!!!!

66′X36′ platform. The 6×6 posts will have to stay in the ground but everything else goes. I built it all with coated decking screws (star head) so everything will come out. 2X10″ beams, 2×8″ joists on 16″ centers, with 5/4 decking on top. I think the platform alone was about $15K in lumber.

From there I used all PEX tubing to plumb the house. Easily cut and put in at the new location. Just roll it up and reclamp as necessary. Hell I’ll even throw in the tools. If you need more it is ridiculously cheap.

For electrical it was professionally wired like a real house. 4 plug electrical outlets about ever 10′ around the circumference, and enough in the kitchen to keep any well electrified cook slicing and dicing all day long. Electricity is tracked and monitored via a wireless data logger that can be moved anywhere around the house. Over-sized breaker panel to add on circuits if needed and the small yurt has its own dedicated panel as well. Would be easy to hook up with Solar if wanted.

Speaking of energy efficiency comes with now 1 year old appliances. All matching stainless steel LG appliances. The 27 cubic foot french door fridge has a linear compressor and uses very little electricity. The matching dishwasher is almost silent and doesn’t use a heating element to dry the dishes and also uses very little electricity. The stove was our favorite and is a 5 burner convection model that cooks food like presto, drastically reducing the time in the oven. Move on to the water heater and the 50 gallon GE heat pump water heater might as well never turn on in the summer (again it is GA). Never had to turn it into hybrid mode as the heat pump could supply enough hot water all day long and uses 2.5 times less energy than your standard heater. Laundry room is wired for washer and drier and has outlet that dumps warm air below the deck.

Best appliances for last involve cooling/heating. I have one 2 ton mini-split heat pump for the large yurt and a 1 ton for the small yurt. These heat pumps are 21 SEERE if I remember correctly. Completely automated with remotes and or timers and sensors. Really quiet as well. As for the domes, they open and air can be controlled via temperature sensitive fan in the small yurt and a MASSIVE 70″ fan in the big yurt. Really casts the light well. If that isn’t enough there is a few LED lights placed in the kitchen and entrance to keep you all lit up. Also a solar powered light at the front door and outdoor outlets just in case. Also included is a really small window AC unit for the laundry room (Last owners had a hole so I needed to fill it), and I have an additional mobile heat pump unit in the small yurt bathroom to keep it dry and or hot/cold for showers. I believe it is a 14K BTU unit and is vented outside.

For some reason you are moving these somewhere cold there is a great fireplace in the large yurt that will keep it warm all day. Has electric fan to help spread the heat and burns clean.

The entire yurt is insulated (factory yurt insulation) as well as insulated floors. I have R 13 in between the joists on top of the decking then 3/4 OSB tongue and groove flooring with bamboo flooring on top of that. NO AIR LEAKAGE.

As for toilets it has two envirolet composting toilets with electric fans and heating elements. One is an indoor unit and the other (not installed and basically brand new) is a two piece with the holding tank that goes under the deck and outside. I think the toilets were around 2K per.

The kitchen is ginormous and looks over the whole big yurt. I don’t remember dimensions but basically 1/3 of the 30′ yurt. Tons of shelving and plenty of storage. Stainless steel sink with sprayer. Custom made counter tops that are sealed but come apart with screws and easy to move.

The bathroom in the small yurt has a clawfoot tub with shower accessories as well as a small sink/vanity that is super bright with medicine cabinet mirrors. It takes up about 1/4 of the 24′ yurt. The large yurt has about 1/4 of the yurt closed off for the laundry room. It also includes room for the uninstalled toilet. But currently has the water heater and plugs for the washer drier. We stacked them but you can do side by side if that is what you have.

So much more I could talk about. Please shoot me an e-mail and I will respond promptly. Large Yurt is 706 SQFT and Small Yurt is 450'.
