About
This 2003 Ford E450 7.3L diesel Powerstroke shuttle bus tiny home conversion was my home on wheels. Unfortunately, she now needs a very expensive new engine, so it’s time to make her a permanent tiny home on land. As a home for 1 or intimate 2, she is fully set up and functional.
-Super powerful solar power setup designed to power just about anything: 600 watts solar on roof, 400 amp hours Battleborn lithium batteries, solar charge controller, inverter, display. Wired for 110 and USB. I used induction burner, small electric heater, electric kettle, fridge, laptop, and more (just not all at once).
-Heavy duty 2x4 interior construction throughout. Smooth and curvy live edge counter top. Beautiful cedar tongue and groove flooring
-Air head composting toilet
-Huge stainless steel sink with an awesome heavy duty marine water foot pump and handmade wooden drying rack.
-Iceco Chest fridge and freezer on heavy duty & smooth slide (comes out from under the bed)
-Very nice quiet maxxair fan
-Spacious feeling with full surround of windows (for tons of natural light)., rounded bus ceiling, and wide area in the middle. There is room to do yoga! Ceiling is over 6' high inside.
-Lots of storage under bed, accessible with double door side entrance (former wheelchair lift) and next to fridge, bench with storage underneath, above cab storage.
-Cozy Queen sized foam mattress
-Custom blackout curtains with rope pull backs for windows. Curtain separating the front area from the back and providing privacy for the “bathroom”/toilet space, and hiding the electrical setup from view. Custom curtains covering under bed storage and under sink storage.
-6 New all terrain tires
-Fully insulated walls and double insulated ceiling.
-Intuitive DIY functional. If something were to break, parts would be easy and cheap to find. No expensive hard to find specialized RV parts.
-Comes with water storage, induction counter top burner, small electric heater, and much more is negotiable.
-Roof recently checked for leaks and sealed. No known previous leaks, dampness, mold smell, etc.
What's Included: $29,000 as is with all included, delivered to you (I can drive her to you probably within 4-5 hours of Portland) OBO. I need to sell soon, so all offers welcome. If you’d prefer to plug in rather than use solar, pick up yourself (do be prepared for overheating) or tow, don’t want some of the components, etc discounts/negotiation is possible.
Trades: If you have a reliable vehicle that has a towing capacity of at least 3,000 lbs gross weight and/or a 13’ scamp or similar molded fiberglass trailer, trade offers are welcome.
I hope to hear from you.
Future Owner Upgrade Ideas:
-She could use an exterior paint job, but will probably last at least another winter or two before issues may arise. Roof sealed this summer, 2023. No known leaks in history. No funky smells.
-Aesthetically, she needs a solution for covering the insulation in the over-the-cab storage area. A cabinet built would be lovely, but a curtain would also work.
-Optional ideas for her future home: removing the drivers seat and the crank for the bus door (and replacing with a cute house door) would allow a nice sunny space in the front for a lounge or office. If someone wanted to remove the engine, the space could be used for outside storage.
