About

We have a new tiny home and are desperate for cash, so we are reluctantly selling our 1969 Dodge Wrightway RV. We travelled in it for 6 months full time, and it's perfect for renovating into a full time tiny home but it does have some drawbacks.

It has two old admiral chairs in front drivers area and enough space between them on floor for a full dog bed. There's a small kitchen sink, propane burner cooktop, cabinets under and over head in kitchen area.

There's a built-in dinette, with a table and two long seats (fits family of 4 comfortably unless you're all big adults). Under each seat (they are black vinyl cushioned) there is large open storage.

The bathroom has a newer RV toilet and an older shower. The shower surround needs to be replaced. It works, it's just dingy and old. There's a bathroom sink but its in the hallway with it's own medicine cabinet and mirror.

There are large cabinets along the hallway and built in closets for hanger clothes. Probably more closet space than you'd find in most tiny homes. We didn't pare down wardrobe to fit in the RV at all.

The back third of house has a platform queen size bed with storage underneath and cabinets in the headboard and above the bed surrounding it all. We used plywood and a wooden leg to fit our Cal Kin tempur pedic bed in the same space and it acutally worked. (The cal king is no longer in the RV)There are windows on all sides of the bed except the one that opens to the hallway.

A solar battery has been installed by previous owner and it runs the AC/heat/fan system inside the RV. It's an old system built on the roof.

We have an unused RV satellite antenna/dish that we can throw in. We never figured out how to use it. There's a spot for on the wall TV brackets near bed.

The bad parts now:

We haven't used it in a  year and it's been at an RV storage facility. At the time the engine was having trouble so we kept tooling around with it. Then we went back mid-year and a mouse or something had chewed through engine wires and now it no longer turns on. I honestly would not buy this if you weren't prepared to work on the engine or replace the engine or use it as a sedentary home. It's not something a total novice could fix or we would have done so ourselves.

We'd like to sell for $4,000 but would consider lower offers in order to sell in the month of June. We will arrange private showings and an open house next week so email more info. The RV facility, if you want to store it after purchase, charges about $65 a month. It's about $200 to tow it to your home in Riverside County (and maybe some neighboring counties/cities like San Diego, Palm Springs, parts of LA). If you have AAA with the RV option, they'll tow 200 miles for free. RV storage is in Sun City, near Murietta/Temecula/Menifee, Calif.

No out of state sales, unless you know a way to get it shipped to you that won't cost me time and money.

It's going to be a beautiful home, especially if someone wants to strip out the non-essential parts and design/decorate as a real tiny home. And you can't get an ordinary home this size for this price.

Thanks for reading!
