When I first bought Layla, this 1997 Ford E-350 Skoolie, she wasn’t meant for me—she was meant for my son. He dreamed of traveling across the U.S. before college, chasing sunsets and open roads. But as life often does, plans changed—and suddenly, I found myself with a fully converted bus that needed a purpose.
Instead of letting her sit idle, I poured my heart into turning Layla into something special—a home on wheels that became our gateway to music festivals , spontaneous getaways, and the kind of memories you carry with you forever. She’s been my escape, my little slice of freedom, and now she’s ready to write her next chapter with someone new.
Key Features:
Gray water and non-potable water tanks under the sink
Chemical toilet
Fully functional electrical setup
Tires in great condition—she’s spent more time parked at festivals than on the highway
A reliable engine that’s ready to roll wherever the road calls
She became a beloved feature at Hidden Ridge Campground 🌲, where friends named her after the Eric Clapton song. From Louder Than Life to Moonshiners Ball to a wild rock festival in Virginia, she’s been part of some of the best weekends of my life—offering shelter, comfort, and a little magic along the way.
As a Spanish teacher and a mom, Layla gave me the gift of adventure—time with my son, dancing under the stars, and learning that sometimes the best moments happen when you let go of the plan and follow the music. Now that my son is engaged and our festival days are fewer, it’s time for Layla to find someone who will love her like we did.
I’m not just selling a Skoolie—I’m passing on a piece of my heart 💕. I want Layla to go to someone who feels the pull of the open road—whether it’s a solo traveler chasing festivals, an artist looking for a creative sanctuary or maybe even another duo ready to make their own memories.
If you’re looking for a Skoolie with soul, Layla’s waiting to carry you into your next adventure.
