spartan imperial mansion 1951

Offered for sale is this totally restored 1951 Spartan imperial Mansion. This trailer has just finished a 6 month restoration that included taking out all the interior surfaces and cleaning down to the original aluminum studs. We then replaced all wood sub floor as needed, added all new wiring, new electrical panel, new boxes and switches. We then added new insulation in all walls, We replaced all original wood paneling in the trailer with new , period correct birch paneling. We stripped all cabinets down to bare wood, sanded and professionally refinished them. Taking great care to save the patina in all the original doors and drawers. The bathroom has all new metal lining, new tile floor, new toilet, and original sink. All repainted in a correct color. The original stove have been gone thru and works fine, as has the 1951 round face fridge.

They are both repainted a gloss black. We have added new polished stainless steel counter tops and back splash, and a new black double sink. We have had a beautiful custom built rounded sofa, custom fitted into the front of the trailer. The sofa is done in a dark grey with Black beading, to match the period correct black and grey congolium floor tiles, that adorn this amazing trailer. We also re polished and re used the original chrome handles and hinges on all cabinets. This is a beautiful example of a trailer that most trailer buffs consider to best the very highest quality trailer ever built. The Spartan trailer, built by the Spartan aircraft company. To this day it is the only trailer company ever to build trailers to aircraft specifications. The aluminum exterior has had over 100 hours of buffing and polishing. New wheels and tires, and all exterior lights working, make this beauty ready for the trip home.

This trailer is more like a work of art than a travel trailer. This is a park model trailer, and has no holding tanks. This absolutely incredible piece of Americana history, would make a perfect guest house, tiny home, or a perfect vacation get away. These trailers are becoming so very hard to find, and the hours it takes to restore one to this level , is very cost prohibitive unless it’s a labor of love , as is the case with this trailer. We take great pride in every trailer we restore. However we are a vintage trailer restoration company. We restore VINTAGE trailers. These are kept to look and feel like they did originally. They don’t have micro waves and hidden Tvs. We want them to feel like the era they came from.
