It was built to be structurally sound and architecturally pleasing, with high quality materials from start to finish:

Trailer Foundation
Diamond C ranger Series RC trailer equipped with dual 5000lb axles. Bed was originally 83” and 9” metal wings were installed on either side to finish at 8’6”.

Bones and Exterior
This house is framed with conventional fir lumber, including a structural ridge to prevent any potential sag. The exterior is built to last with reclaimed old growth fir lap siding from a 1900s farmhouse in Talent, OR. Siding was installed with galvanized nails and all nail holes were filled and painted over for a polished exterior. All seven windows are new from Cascade with a 30 UV index and argon. Exterior trim is pre-primed cedar installed with stainless steel screws. Standing seam “Copper Penny” metal roof and flashing, built to protect and last. Metal awning was custom built and can be easily removed for travel. Electrical panel is located in an attached utility shed. Shed was built to fit a standard propane tank and an on-demand hot water heater (not included)

Interior
Interior is sheathed in locally harvested and milled ⅜” tongue and groove Sugar Pine. Ceiling, stairs and trim are finished with linseed oil. Vertical grain fir interior trim is modeled after the craftsman style. Loft deck is beautiful tongue and groove spruce finished with three coats of polyurethane. Loft is 7’6” x 7’8”, perfect for a queen size mattress.

House is fully wired with a 60 amp breaker, including individual circuits for fridge and mini split (mini split is not installed).
