About

For sale is our beautiful amenity filled Tiny house.

A little about our journey and why we built our tiny house. With rent in the Pacific Northwest rising out of control,
we were looking for a solution to pay off my wife's school loans. We had joked around about the idea of a tiny home
for us to get out from the burden of renting and throwing our money away. A tiny house seemed to make the most sense.
So in September of 2015 we bought a trailer and I designed the house myself using my drafting backround. I started
construction that month and finished it in 8 months. I built it mostly by myself with a little help from my father on
the electrical and plumbing, as well as my wife with the painting. The reason for selling is to help with student loans
and we also never actually got a chance to live in it because shortly after my wife graduated in May she was offered her
dream job in Las Vegas and since the cost of living is so affordable there we ultimately decided to store the tiny house
near my parents.

Info about the house.

Now for some of the fun items:
-Stairs are made of old advertising crates
-Storage in bathroom is an old basket locker from a school
-Sliding barn door made from reclaimed wood
-Siding and ceiling material is beetle kill pine
-The ladder by the bathroom to the storage loft is actually a cat ladder as well that I designed myself. The cats enter
at the bottom and jump from one level to the next until they pop up out the top.
-Also, one of the long windows above the couch has an extra wide sill that was meant to be a cat walk from one loft to
the other.
-Ample of kitchen storage with some contents (we started buying compact and nesting kitchen items)
-Small pantry under stairs.
-Two-way switch at the bottom and top of stairs to avoid climbing down to turn off bedroom light.

The living area is quite spacious at 9.5' from the end of the kitchen counter to the bathroom wall. There is currently a 7' mid century couch with newly upholstered cushions in it.
The loft ceiling height on the short side is 38.5" and on the high side 44" so plenty of room to sit up in both. I'm 6' tall.

It pains us to sell our tiny home that we designed specifically for us and our two cats, especially without ever living
in it, but at this point in our lives and with the recent developments in my wife's career, it only makes sense for us to let it go to
someone who can appreciate it.
