CLC Teardrop wood / fiberglass camper trailer

Compact teardrop camper, design by Chesapeake Light Craft.

This teardrop is made from plywood, wrapped in a fiberglass and epoxy shell. The outside is also finished with UV-resistant spar varnish. It sits on a galvanized-steel trailer. There are four mushroom vents for the cabin, which can be closed for travel and opened when stopped. The camper has a "Fan-Tastic" roof vent, which can be set to run at four different speeds, and can switch between sucking air in, and blowing it out.

In the rear, there is a galley (kitchen) area, which is accessible from the outside. The galley is roomy, has cubbies for storing different kitchen supplies, and has a first-aid kit ready, just in case. The battery compartment is also stored here, along with the electrical cut-off switch, charging lead, and deep-cycle battery. There is a dome light above the table surface for night time.

In the front, there is an insulated cooler box. It locks with a key, and is big enough to fit a large cooler inside. It's waterproof, so it can be filled with ice, and has water run-off ports built into the corners.

The inside of the cabin is accessible through two doors, one on each side. The doors have tempered "Bronze" mirror-tinted privacy glass, hiding the inside of the camper during daylight. The doors also have handy pockets built into them. The floor of the cabin is a queen-size mattress. It will fit two adults comfortably, and a small child also, if you have one in your family. There is an electrical inverter inside for 120Vac small electrical things, and separate 5Vdc USB ports for charging cell phones and similar things. There is a decently-bright (but not blinding) dome light at the top for evening reading. There is a small shelf for storing books, coffee cups, cell phones. Underneath the shelf, where the inhabitants' legs go, there is an elastic net for storing towels, socks, spare clothes, etc.
