Cedar Tiny House/ Studio Cabin

I built this small cabin over the past three years while working full time as a carpenter and metal fabricator. I lived in it for a year during 2020, plugged into a friend's barn for electricity with an outdoor kitchen and composting toilet

I was able to salvage 2x4's, sheathing, nails, and most of the windows from demolition work done on local houses. The collar-ties are dimensionally correct 2x4's from the early 1900's and the front door was salvaged from the same house. The rest of my materials were purchased from our local Ghent Wood Products and Williams Lumber.

The house has full electric, which could be converted to solar. No plumbing, It is spacious with an abundance of natural light coming through 6 windows, 4 of them open for plenty of cross breeze. It has pine flooring, maple flooring in the closet, pine shiplap and mold-resistant drywall which is important for mold susceptible tiny houses. There are two small vents. The floor, walls and ceiling are insulated with 2" rigid foam and spray foam. Comes with a wood stove and pipes ready for install.

It is built on a 6 ton trailer with new tires. I extended the bed of the trailer with 6' 2X8 steel beams. the beams are cantilevered 3'. This house can be moved but would not recommend this home as a traveling house. It should be moved to desired location and be put on a foundation.
