Built by Wayside Lawn Structures in Columbiana, OH, the entire home is built on a custom, tandem axle trailer fabricated by Quality Trailers. The exterior is grey vinyl siding on the majority of the structure with gunmetal gray vinyl shakes on the gables. The roof is red standing seam and the THOW has 4 primary (or downstairs) windows and seven gliders in the gabled loft.

Entry to the home is through an inward swinging, shaker-style door. Once inside you are greeted with a beautiful, rich, warm wood interior. The walls are T&G and all of the surface fronts and countertops are live edge, making the home feel like a forest respite or a small, mountain cabin beside a flowing stream. What the home may lack in square footage it makes up for in comfort!



The first section of the tiny house is the kitchen which boasts a refrigerator, an electric cooktop, a microwave, and a coffee maker. Before the base cabinet, there is a small bar that seats two. If you look around a bit you will notice that the space cantilevered above the entry is actually a small loft perfect for storage.

In the kitchen is the live edge base cabinet that is complete with three drawers, three cabinet doors, and ample storage space. Sunken into the countertop is a stainless steel sink and above it is two wall-mount cabinets. There is also a window in the front of the sink positioned perfectly to watch the world or gauge the weather while enjoying a hot cup of coffee.

Along the opposite wall from the kitchen is a blank space to mount a television on, hang artwork or hobby ephemera, or just leave blank in order to enjoy the honey glaze of the house. At the end of the wall is a small area perfect for a clothes closet or a food pantry. The closet also creates a wall that helps enclose the bathroom.

Inside the bathroom is a small hot water heater, a fiberglass corner shower kit, a floating corner sink, a mirrored vanity, and a flush commode. Above the bathroom and accessible by a galvanized pipe ladder is the primary sleeping loft. In the loft is plenty of room for sleeping with gracious headspace, and even a window at the headboard perfect for ventilation or crisp, morning air. The ceiling - like the walls - is T&G, as is the loft flooring.

In terms of comfort and infrastructure, the tiny house on wheels is framed with traditional lumber techniques. To say warm in the winter and cool in the summer the walls and ceiling are insulated with R13 in the walls and ceiling, a 1.5” thick planks, an air gap, ¾” SmartFloor, and styrofoam underlayment underneath the laminate flooring. The home is also 30-amp, grid-tied, and air-tight.
