About
1982 Converted 40' Gillig Phantom Transit Bus/Tour/Motor home/Tiny home/Air Bnb
This bus was originally an Olympia City Transit bus.
It was then purchased by Green Tortoise (remember them?)
and equipped with a new diesel engine and refurbished.
Green Tortoise decided to exclusively run school buses and sold it to the previous owner.
The previous owner converted it with quality appliances and equipment and toured with his family.
I purchased and lived in it while I looked for my current home/farm and no longer need it.
It was great for me. I lived in it with a partner and 2 kids!
I would love to see it go to a good home.
It is freeway/ touring / or tiny home ready. Top speed is 64 MPH!
A basic 40' Gillig Bus in average shape runs around $20K to $30K. The previous owner put 36K into it.
I am willing to sell this already converted bus for $28K in order to move it.
Serious Buyers Only.
THE SPECIFICS:

This system consists of: 3 UniSolar 64 Watt solar panels on tilting racks, charge controller, safety disconnects etc. A Heart Interface Freedom 20 which is a 2000 watt inverter, with Link 10 remote; an E-Meter (Heart branded) for electrical system monitoring (a very cool meter); 660 Ahrs of house battery storage. 30 A electrical system, with 25 foot cord & 25 foot 30A extension cord. Does not include batteries. (I was not able to figure out the operation of this system, but I am sure someone with know-how could...I plugged in)
