About
The concept for this Class A Coach is Utilitarian, Off Grid, an excellent hunting wagon, or remote area Bug Out Home or base camp anchor. The Coach was tested for 6 months in the deserts and urban areas of Arizona and 2 months in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. I lived in it for 8 months comfortably. A school bus chassis for the build that was selected because of clearance needs to drive off road. Top quality components were used for this build. Well Insulated throughout. For complete specifications see them below. With over $66,566.00 invested in this, this custom rig is a bargain at this price. Any questions please call anytime or drop me an email. Currently parked in Colorado This Coach can be seen by appointment. Inspections are welcome. I will provide directions to the location. Sale is “AS IS WHERE IS”. No WARRANTY is given or offered. NOTE: THERE IS NOT A TOILET INSTALLED YET> HAS SEWAGE AND SHOWER STALL.
Specifications and Amenities, and final side tasks that need to be completed
Title: Clear w new tags and registration – Titled as a Motor Home
Chassis: 1990 Chevrolet w Superior Body
Engine Brand/Size: Detroit Diesel Fuel Pincher , 8.6 Liter
Turbo: Yes, and functions well
Interior Paint Color: White - Needs some minor paint touchup.
Exterior Color: Industrial Grey Professionally applied
Tires: 11R 22.5 (VERY GOOD)
Road Clearance: 11.5 inches at axles
Suspension: front air ride
Oil usage: Standard/Minimal
Transmission: Allison 5 speed automatic (works well)
Drivers compartment: Basic analog gauges, functions well, no fancy digital anything to break down.
Mileage: Mileage was verified by State of Ohio, and it is registered as a motor home. The story on why it is 20 years old and only about 20k miles as told to me is a long one, (call me for details) but I believe it to be true because the “underside”, shocks, chassis, kingpins and bushings are all in superb shape, too good for even 120k if the odometer did trip over.
Coach Finish Out: All woodwork completed by professionals but needs a little trim work finished out and painting touch-up
Ceiling Height: 6’3” inside height.
Sleeps: 1 –Person bed (40”) in front, but could easy accommodate 4 in rear.
Roof: Standard steel alloy roof with no leaks
FRONT AREA: FRONT HALF OF UNIT IS THE LIVING AREA.
Kitchen Food Prep: Sink Size 19” X 19” X 10” deep stainless, 7’ counter with formica surface, color is tan/brown pattern, propane stove – brand: Danby , color: White
Refrigerator: SUMMIT 11.5 cu ft. frost free, chosen for its Energy Star Rating.
Plumbing: Although all plumbing is installed, there is no hot water heater. Drain is installed, it needs a little finish up work to tie it to the black water tanks.
Hot Water Heater: Although all plumbing is installed, there is no hot water heater, either propane or electric easily installed.
Solar: 14 X 130 watt solar panels that are tilt able, All major electrical components besides the Panels (Sun, German Manufactured) and batteries (18 X Trojan T105 – about 16 months old) are Outback. As the pictures indicate, panels do tilt, but I have not installed a Mechanism, so tilt must be done manually, but can be done by 2 people in about 10 minutes. NOTE: Using the panels flat was more than adequate for my entire needs and then some.
Electrical: 12 volt tube florescent interior lighting. Output to operate everything with 4 out of 5 days sunshine. Electrical output, and produces enough electrical output to support a tent camp.
Battery Packs/Storage: Like new, less than 1-1/2 years old, used 8-months. Batteries have 6 year Warranty
Heat: Wall Heater, propane stove (Danby)
Air Conditioning: (DC AIRCO – Netherlands 8500 BTU). Remote controlled vent fan (in or out). The very expensive “true DC” DC Airco Air Conditioner will cool down the living area about 20 – 25 degrees only. In 110 degree summer desert (dry) heat of Arizona, I had to use an portable evaporative cooler (works terrific) to be comfortable (I like it on the cool side). I know they told me this would not work (AC refrigerated + evaporative in the same room) – it worked fine for me!
Winch: The electric winch is almost new, but I found that I had threaded the 3/16 cable through wrong and had to tear it apart to re-thread and did not re-assemble it correctly. Needs to have some time spent to again re-assemble correctly.
Toilet: None, concept plan was to use unit in a forest or desert setting and use a portable toilet enclosure, parked with accessible shower/toilet facilities.
Shower Stall: Roughed in with plumbing, not yet tied to the waste water tank.
Front Storage: Ample storage
Driver Compartment: The Drivers compartment is not fancy to look at, but very functional. Mileage was verified by State of Ohio, and it is registered as a Class A Motor Home/Coach.
Hydraulic Lift Jacks: Hydraulic Lift Jacks and Pump included, but needs piping from Pump to Jacks which are not installed.
BACK HALF UTILITY WORK AREA: BACK HALF OF UNIT HAS A SHOP
Utility Area: 8’ X 18’
Fresh Water Tank: 250 Gal.
Waste Water Tank: 2 X 40 Gal. 1 installed and 1 available for installation
Plumbing: Although all plumbing is installed, there is no hot water heater. Drain is installed, it needs a little finish up work to tie it to the black water tanks.
Security Spotlights: Has 12 volt spotlights around perimeter (approx 10-each) they have not been hooked up.
Hot Water Heater: Although all plumbing is installed, there is no hot water heater.
Gun Chest: Lockable Steel gun chest (only 40” so only assault or breakdown rifles plus handguns). It is accessible from front or back.
Back Storage: Ample storage, drawer storage matching front and two wall cabinets.
