A VERY RARE 55 YEAR OLD "HOUSE CAR" Class C Motorhome
99% Original and Complete.
Has been in rust free Arizona desert for most of its life. Was In Los Angeles prior to that. Runs and drives great. 7.50 - 16 tires on split rims. Tires were new 12 years ago and all hold air, and are probably OK for a trip of 100 miles or so to Phoenix or Tucson. For safety, new tires would probably be needed if going much further than that. Glass is 100 % original good on camper and all windows operate. Front windshield on cab is cracked and the passenger side wing window is broken out. Very little rust. The worst rust spots are on both front fenders and is shown in photos. Less than 3" rust area. Has air conditioning in the cab, but needs repair and recharge. Engine is 305 V6. Transmission is 4 speed manual. All coach siding is in good condition. No hail damage or other dents.
The aluminum roof is still like it was as originally installed. It has never had any roof coatings. There are 11 Eternabond patches on the roof that are sealing up small cracks less than 3" long. (See photo). 8 of the 11 patches are on the cab over area where the majority of cracks have occurred. It seems like the factory rolled roof metal has become brittle with age in a few spots, especially in the cab over area, and ideally needs a full roof Eternabond overlay or other restorative repair.
Some of the interior paneling on the ceiling, especially in the cab over area has some water damage and will need replacement. All the rest of the interior is completely original and complete and functions as it should. There is also some water damage to the wall paneling around some windows and within the refrigerator cabinet. However the floor of the cab and coach are both absolutely solid and there are no soft, low or rust spots. The only exception being the wood the retractable step bolts to is a bit dry rotted. I have been supporting the step with a prop underneath so as not put too much stress on that attachment when entering and exiting.
All cabinets and drawers operate and are complete. The cab bucket seating and coach upholstery, foam cushions, curtains and interior carpeting are all substantially tattered and deteriorated, and will need to be replaced, as they are the original ones from 1964. The bath is semi wet with toilet separate from shower. All RV system related pumps, tanks, gas and electric is present and original, including the original 1964 Norcold refrigerator freezer. Seller has removed the refrigerator from the cabinet where it was originally installed as the supporting structure was weak and collapsing under heavy weight of unit. The refrigerator freezer is included in the sale if the buyer wants it. It is a large, heavy, monster refrigerator. It probably works, but needs cleaning and some restoration.
The coach as has the hinged back porch with sliding glass rear patio door and separate sliding screen door. A very rare and unique vehicle for restoration.
