About

This is a full-sized (66 passenger) school bus converted into a home that I built and have lived in for the past two years. The bus is a 1992 Ford B600 with a 6.6L diesel engine with turbo. Retired from service in 2008, it has 238k miles on it and runs great. Engine starts right up and the bus drives good. Lots of tread on all 6 tires, good air brakes and has a receiver hitch attached for towing. It is registered & titled as a motorhome (WA title), so does not require a commercial license to drive.

It is currently parked in a little meadow under a big oak tree not far out of Grants Pass off of Hwy 199. The rental space is not included in the sale. If you're interested, the best thing would be to come and see it or give me a call or send me an email with questions. It is one-of-a-kind and there is too much to try and describe. But to give you a sense of what it is, I'll try to summarize the conversion briefly:

-6' long porch welded onto bus frame on the back with half-walls and a metal roof. Ceiling in the bus is raised up with openable upper windows to let in good amounts of light, and provide headroom and storage places above.
-10 gal. hot water heater plumbed to sink and outdoor shower. The bus plugs into a 110V power source and has lighting and power outlets throughout the bus. Medium-small woodstove inside heats the bus in the winter. There is no toilet installed (we use a composting toilet system).
-Lots of built-in furniture (queen sized bed frame, two person dinner table, bookshelf, kitchen counters with shelving, desk, workbench, etc. Insulated with fiberglass throughout (in walls and ceiling).
-Very cozy for one person and do-able with two if you're good at being together a lot. My fiancé has lived with me in here on and off for the past two years.
-Not entirely finished. Not all the finish work was completed, so there are areas that are not trimmed, where some metal remains exposed, etc. It is perfectly livable but could be improved upon by the next person.
