/// FAQS ///////////////////////////////////////////
HOW WAS THE HOUSE BUILT?
The house was built during a tiny house building workshop under the supervision of a Construction and Technology teacher. Read more about the building of my house in this VC Star article. It is a wood frame. Professional trades people and businesses were hired for…
Plumbing (including water heater)
Spray Foam Insulation
Metal Sales Galvalume Roof
Professional Electrical Inspection
Siding re-done by professional contractor
IS THERE HEATING AND COOLLING?
I built it to live by the beach so there isn’t any heating or cooling. The insulation is dense spray foam insulation that was professionally installed/sprayed so it has a high R value of R-24.5 and is very temperate. The casement windows also offer excellent cross ventilation, along with the turbine style ceiling fan. I also have a Dyson Hot+Cool fan that heats the house up quickly on those colder nights.
WHERE CAN I MOVE IT?
The house is just under 13.5 ft so it is within the legal height to be driven in any of the contiguous United States.
WHERE CAN I PARK IT?
I would recommend this house for someone who already has property to park it, and use it as a guest room, home office or Air B&B.
HOW CAN I GET THE HOUSE TO MY PROPERTY?
I have a tiny house mover! He’s moved my house 52 out of the 68 “house” miles and he moved a friend’s tiny house from California to Pennsylvania over 2,600 miles. He’s an awesome driver and great at maneuvering the house. If you are in need of a driver he has offered to move the house from Ventura (93001) up to 66 miles for $350 and $1.50/mile after that.
IS THE HOUSE A REGITERED VEHICLE?
Yes, it even has a license plate! The house is registered as a utility trailer carrying a load. The registration costs $10 every five years. Registration won’t be due again until 2026.
HOW MANY MILES DOES THE HOUSE HAVE ON IT?
Before the house was built the trailer was moved from Glendale to Camarillo (65 miles), since the house has been built it was moved 68 more miles for a total of 110 miles.
IS THE HOUSE RVIA CERTIFIED?
RVIA certification is only available to tiny home manufactures and since this house was DIY it is not RVIA certified. However this house was built during a tiny house building workshop under the supervision of a Construction and Technology teacher.

IS FINANCING AVAILABLE?
Traditional financing is not available. If you need help financing I would recommend talking to your bank or credit union about an unsecured personal loan.
WHAT KIND OF HOOK-UPS DOES IT NEED?
Water – A water safe RV garden hose attached to a typical water spigot.
Waste/Sewer – An RV sewer hose attached to a sewer standpipe or tapped into a grey water system.
Electrical – A 50 amp cord (20ft included) plugged into a 50 amp outlet, or 30 amp outlet with adapter.
Gas – Two 30 gallon propane tanks
WHAT'S INCLUDED, NOT INCLUDED, NEGOTIABLE?
Note that not everything visible in pictures is included. Everything itemized on the right is included. Pictured and unmentioned items may be negotiable. I will provide building plans, extra tile and flooring, paint chips and photos of the water and electrical before insulation for reference.
WHY ARE YOU SELLING?
I love my house and I’m so proud of what I built but the pandemic and other personal matters created the need for a more conventional house.
