The Anglerfish Sauna

The Anglerfish Sauna is 17’ sculpture of an Anglerfish and a wood fired sauna on a brand new custom built trailer! She requires her audience unsheathe their material mask upon entrance and offers a womb for creativity. To let go of what we think we know and see ourselves as we are. This sculpture crosses the barriers of form and function. She is a piece of architecture that inspires.

Her exterior is hammered brass scales, with an operable tail/woodstove door and blown glass eyes that function as windows and lights. She has a raised brass fixture and blown glass lure light. The interior is bent cedar made from one tree. There is a waterline for a hose inside the sauna to steam her up, a sculptural stone basket heat exchanger, forged steel hinges and a cedar door.
