About
This one-of-a-kind tiny house has helped us live out our dreams of living simply and sustainably. It has provided us housing security during the pandemic and financial security as we progressed in our careers. We hope it can do the same for the next owners!
Designed and built by an architectural designer with sustainability in mind, the 115 sq ft home is cozy and modern with an off-grid and eco-friendly design approach to reduce water and energy usage. The home features single-story living with a clean and warm aesthetic and all the amenities you’d expect in a home.
It was built in 2018 on a customized trailer, designed specifically for use with a tiny house build. This beautiful tiny home will need to be relocated and would make for an ideal guest unit, rental, or full-time residence in your backyard or on your land outside the city. The deck and awning are easily disassembled and are included.
We have comfortably resided in the home as two adults plus one cat for the last four years.
This THOW is 17’ Long, 8.5’ Wide, & 12’-3” Tall
There are many great features of this home, which we have tried to document here in photos and the following text. If you have any questions not addressed, please let me know. And if you would like to check it out, virtually or in person, please reach out. The house is currently unoccupied, in Portland, and ready for its new location.

The home is thoughtfully laid out to maximize the open floor plan and create a spacious and light-filled home. The home includes an L-Shaped built-in couch, an entertainment nook with a tv, and a full-size murphy bed with hydraulic assists. There is a surprising amount of storage, including a pantry in the kitchen, three large pull out drawers built into the couch, hidden floor storage in the living space, and a closet behind the bed. Additionally, there is a utility closet located on the outside rear of the tiny house. The kitchen includes a full stove and oven, as well as a hood for venting the space. The kitchen is very user-friendly with cutting boards that can cover the sink and extend your prep space. The large sink with a foot pedal controlled faucet makes washing dishes a breeze. The bathroom has all the necessary amenities and was designed as a wetroom making it an easy to clean space. Exhaust fans and operable windows are strategically located throughout the home to ensure proper ventilation of the space.
Outdoor features include a detachable awning over the front door and a covered, outdoor bar on the front with an alder countertop and two stools. The house is being sold with a wrap-around deck that extends your living space and hides the trailer wheels and tongue to increase the curb appeal of the home and make it feel more integrated wherever it is parked. The deck is constructed from FSC certified cedar from Sustainable Northwest Woods. The deck and bar are ideal for cooking outdoors, lounging in the hammock, and having parties with friends. Additionally, it has been plumbed to include an outdoor shower by the utility closet.
The house is wired for a 120V 30amp hookup but has successfully worked with a standard 20amp exterior electrical receptacle as well. The home has ample outlets both inside and out for maximum flexibility, with many USB outlets conveniently located. Pressurized water is supplied by connecting an RV water line to a spigot, and the house comes with a heating element to keep it from freezing in the winter. Both the electrical cable and water hose connect at concealed locations under the house.
Because of the efficient size, this home offers flexibility when parking on urban lots in the city, and an ease when towing that you won’t find with a larger tiny house. Tiny houses are a legal and viable living option in Portland, and are a fraction of the cost of building an ADU and tiny houses are renting for $1,000-1,500 / month in Portland.
