Efficiency and Affordability in One Tiny House

At 128 sq.ft. this efficient and hugely affordable tiny house on wheels is perfect for a guest space, an efficiency apartment, a weekend getaway, or just about any other recreational pursuit.

Built this past summer, the tiny house has both running water (through a standard female hose adapter) and electricity (30 amp service panel on exterior of house). It also has a PVC sewage for grey and black water release. The overall design is simple as it is a single slope structure built on top of a trailer (no wheel wells protruding into the interior) with a bedroom/common area space, a small kitchenette, and a bathroom. The design does not feature any lofts nor much storage but for the price it is perfect for a tiny house! The home does have two nice size windows for natural sunlight as well as a heavy entry door for security and visual appeal.

Once inside the tiny house the common area is to the right and would easily allow for a Murphy bed or a futon or almost any other type of hybrid sleeping arrangement.

The kitchenette features a European or “apartment size” electric stove with 4-burners and an oven. Next to the stove is a single base cabinet, a full-size microwave overhead, and a more traditional Haier fridge/freezer. Across from this arrangement is a larger workspace with formica countertop, a stainless steel single-basin sink (with a Rheem on-demand hot water heater), and ample storage in the base cabinets.

The bathroom is partitioned off by a bi-fold door. Inside the space is a fiberglass shower stall with fiberglass pan, a flush commode, and a GFCI outlet.

Recessed lights illuminate the entire house and the floor is finished with a vinyl laminate, hardwood effect. The walls are finished with a light gray, neutral paint and have baseboard but no ceiling or crown molding to crowd the space.
