About

If you see this listing: it’s still available.

This 45' High Cube Container (HQ-that means it's tall enough to stand in it if you're 6.1/2' tall), has lots of comfort room.
To tell you a little bit about our shipping container home:
I stood at the sliding glass doors one day when we were building, the sky grew dark, and tornado weather crossed our path. The container shook, but held fast durable in its steel construction withstanding up to 180mph winds. (poor Home Depot didn't favor as well).
In the winter, it kept its heat, insulated with R rated insulation covered in mold resistant drywall, cool in the summer with the whirly on top for ventilation, securing our comfort. We placed a fan on the back wall for the security room. It’s nice to have a garage for tools and stuff. The aluminum door, deadbolt lock, and licensed contractor built has kept intruders and weather out.
We're a bit messy outside, like most construction sites, but the tankless hot water heater is in pristine condition, the ductless air runs smoothly, and the electrical box stays dry, and we used heat resistant paint on top-no leaks. If you stay and rent the land, we will clean the area, promise. If you stay-or not, we'll make you a deal on the batteries.
I originally planned on a side porch for outside bathing (nudy-patooty) and through the time, the porch has stayed level, and would make a great outdoor shower area.
We really hoped for a wrap-around-porch with a barbecue grill, and patio furniture, string lights, and maybe an awning, and good friends, but I didn't get to that yet. After you purchase, you can have fun designing an area all your own.
Inside is my favorite place, one can forget the container is so small-a little tardis feeling-once inside. No, we didn't decorate, you might not like what we pick out-and then I'm moving, remember?
A first impression-messy builders, but if you look closer, the possibilities grow―beautiful stacked modern casing for the 2 awning windows, a matching sliding door, and bathroom entry, walnut stained wood floors, 4x4 cedar beams the length, interior low electricity usage lights, electrical sockets in several places for convenience, and in the far end, a nook of sorts, with usb electrical sockets. Bring your desk or place your bed there, stack a wall with books, or paint your favorite stencil on the entire back wall.
The awning windows, I purchased the best, glide open, screened, and in the bathroom, a side slider tilt window, and if you feel the need, you can escape out that way.
At 45' long, this home has a large bathroom, big enough for a shower, closest, toilet area, and even a small washer and dryer, and kitchen sink. Sorry, this is under construction, and some items are not included.
The kitchen is just started and waiting for you to transform it into the cooking/gathering area of your dreams. I started with a hardwood maple shell; it does need hardware, cabinet doors, and drawers, or can be replaced with professional cabinets (not included). For me, I would take the time to build every inch, stain that beautiful pattern on the maple, but then again, I’m moving and out of time.
Due to weight and shipping, we are not including appliances. Don’t forget to include them in your loan.
Oh, I should mention, licensed building contractors and a licensed electrician worked on this along the way.
Did I say lighting? The low electrical lighting runs throughout - wall switches, plugs, over-head, dimmer switch, motion detector lights outside on either end, and a porch light - and an outside covered socket for your extension cords or Christmas lights. We started the build two years ago and it’s all still working great.
*Solar not included.
*some plumbing lines in - please call a licensed plumber to have the bathroom water lines for toilet/shower/ and sink installed. A licensed plumber is more affordable at this stage then spending $20k more on another container with this already installed.
Sold As Is – non-refundable deposit to hold, otherwise sold to highest bidder. Fair offers are welcomed.
Buyer responsible for shipping but we will help you get in the right direction with a shipper.
FYI: This container has not been lived in - inside is NEW - outside is a Used-One-Time-No-Leak, Non-chemical -Transport container, just in case you would like to know.
