Custom 300 sq. ft. (incl. lofts) Craftsman on Wheels Featured on Tiny House Nation

This tiny house was designed with a family with two young children in mind, but it is very functional and could work for anyone. It was featured in Season 3, Episode 18 of Tiny House Nation (“200 Sq. Ft. Family-Friendly House”).

This is a one-of-a-kind, beautiful home. It was built on a brand new Iron Eagle 24′ trailer with tandem 7,000 lb rated axles (14,000 lbs total). Two spacious dormer lofts cantilever out an additional three feet on either end of the house, and a box window on the kitchen end of the home adds some extra counter space and tasteful architectural flair. The exterior facade consists of durable faux-cedar shake shingle and wooden accents, and the home features a beautiful custom knotty-alder craftsman-style door with a walnut stain.

The interior feels incredibly spacious for a tiny house, thanks to a tall gabled ceiling in the center of the home and the light let in through 20 (!) double-pane windows. The house is well insulated with walls made of structurally-insulated panels (SIPs) and bat insulation in the floor and ceiling. Electric radiant heating elements in the floor provide heat in the winter and keep the house warm in below-freezing temperatures, while two small air conditioning units in the lofts easily keep the house cool even in 100-degree heat. Endless hot water is provided by an EcoTemp on-demand propane-fired water heater.

The interior has a ton of upgrades and premium design elements, including a porcelain farm sink in the kitchen, stainless steel appliances (refrigerator/freezer, propane-fired oven/range, and dishwasher all included), quartz counter tops, mechanized oak ladder access to the master loft, a butcher-block folding table/desk, an LG washer/dryer combo (included), a custom butcher-block and oak built in stairs/bookcase/storage piece, a tiled shower with a Moen detachable magnetic shower head, a Separett composting toilet (the house is also plumbed for traditional toilet if desired), a kid’s sink and work station in the smaller loft, and so on.
