About
Have you ever thought of a converted school bus as being both an RV and a more permanent cabin? If not, you should, and you could with this rugged off-grid skoolie. Built out of a 2004 Blue Bird with only 85,000 miles on it, the tiny house is exceptional. The outside of the skoolie is a sort of army green with dark tinted windows (10 on each side of the bus).
Entry into the bus is through an upgraded RV door and leads directly into the cabin. And cabin is not just a nom de plume. The bus literally looks like a cabin with its walls of honey golden stained pine T&G. There is a smart TV hanging just to the side of the entry door. The living space also has a loveseat with storage underneath. The living space then floats directly into the L-shaped kitchen, which is outfitted with butcher block countertops, a 2-burner propane cooktop, a sink with a faucet, and a corner cabinet with a lazy susan. The kitchen also has an electric/propane hybrid refrigerator. The L-shape of the kitchen also serves as a partition wall into the master bedroom.
Inside the bedroom is a queen size platform bed with a freshwater tank underneath as well as a dog kennel. The bedroom also has a smart TV hung just in front of the bed.
Before reaching the bedroom though, there is the bathroom which is a lovely - albeit small - one with a shower stall, and RV flush commode. To keep the water comfortably warm the off-grid skoolie has a tankless hot water heater.
In terms of being off-grid the tiny house on wheels has 3 solar panels on the roof, a Renogy solar charger (with Bluetooth controller), a 3000W inverter, and 2 batteries. If you are able to be in an RV park or even moochdocking, the bus is equipped a 30-amp shore power hookup and controller that switches from shore to solar automatically. Structurally speaking the bus also has a water inlet and a water refill on the driver's side. It is insulated with spray foam.
Pardon the pun but this bus is priced to move. It is affordable and ready for its next adventure. Contact Ashley by phone at 704-508-9046 or email at Ashley@tinyhouselistings.com . Financing may be available.
