Thawing out in preparation for a beautiful summer, your new home is a traditionally constructed 160 sq.ft. tiny house on wheels. Resting atop a heavy-duty, tandem axle trailer manufactured by Tiny Home Builders, the tiny house is more than just a cut above the rest. It combines class with functionality in a way that is rarely seen in the modern tiny house movement.

The exterior is clad in Grade-A vertical Cedar and painted gray save five boards which have been left unpainted to give an interesting visual identity to the home. There are 5 Jeld Wen windows along with a 15-pane door that allows a good amount of natural light in. To balance the temperature though the house is equipped with an LG Mini Split HVAC for heating and cooling at 24,000 BTU and is also entirely insulated with R15 Polystyrene insulation. Everything is powered by a 50amp system that plugs in via an external plug on the outside of the house near the tongue of the trailer.

Once inside you immediately walk into the space designed for common living. The walls are finished in Michigan Maple wood and accented by a crisp, white ceiling.

The living room moves directly into the kitchen area that also boasts 100% Michigan Maple wood countertops, as well as a single basin deep sink and disguised cutting board. When employed it makes the countertop one large, smooth surface. When removed it is a cutting board that also reveals the sink. The work area for the kitchen is contained on one side of the house which opens the other side up for a potential drop-down table, gate leg table, or bartop scenario. The kitchen also comes equipped with a pot rack on the wall and ample cabinetry both below the countertop and above the countertop.

The ladder to the sleeping loft is removable so it can be moved out of sight. When engaged it rests on the kitchen floor allowing safe access to the queen size space. When not in use, the pine ladder cleverly folds up and can be stored out of the way against the wall. There is lighting in the sleeping loft and also Berber carpeting so it is a more comfortable sleeping and moving-around-in space. A nice feature is the two plugs included in the sleeping loft which allow you to charge your devices, run a small fan, or even have a nightlight!

The bathroom is towards the tongue of the trailer and has plenty of room for both a Natures Head Composting Toilet and a 36” x 32” shower stall. There is also a petite sink that is large enough to brush teeth or wash hands but not excessive enough to get in the way. The walls are marble-looking commercial paneling and are easy to keep clean. The hot water in both the bathroom and the kitchen is powered by a 7-gallon Bosch Electric Water Heater.
