NEEDED CLASS 5 air brakes to drive

The N14 engine is built off of the 855 engine platform.  This engine has the pre-start engine lube pump.  You can hear it running before the engine starts in the included video.  It provides lubrication to all crucial components prior to starting.  The initial starting of the engine creates most of the wear on the engine's contact surfaces.  This wear is caused by the engine starting before the oil pump can deliver oil.  The internal oil pump doesn't go to work till the engine starts.   Until that pump has a chance to supply oil to all the bearing surfaces and create pressure they are using only the residue that hasn't drained to the sump since it last ran The pre-lube creates a situation where the oil pressure is immediately feeding a wedge of oil between the bearing surfaces, This is the one of the most important pieces of equipment that will directly contribute to an engines long life.

You will also note there is an air filter restriction indicator.  This will let you know the condition of your filter with a quick glance.

In addition to those two pieces of equipment you will notice a coolant filter with valves on either side.  This allows you to monitor the condition of your coolant and replace filters that contain additives that protect your engine instead of having to replace all your coolant to receive the same protection for your engine.
