The Biggest Little Tiny In Colorado

The moniker “tiny house” is oftentimes a misnomer when dealing with one as beautiful as this. Hailing from Colorado this off-grid palace is anything but little. It is big in design, big in function, big in size, and HUGE in style! From the sleeping loft to the living room, there is nothing this tiny house doesn’t have.

Measuring 240 square feet and built on a triple axle Trailer Made trailer, the tiny boasts a bold exterior. Mixing angled, pine strips with smartside paneling (in turquoise, nonetheless), large, glider windows, and three varying roof pitches/angles, there is nothing conservative about the home. It even has a royal blue entry door and the standing seam metal roof is turquoise. Even though it may be built for colder climates, it is almost too hot to handle.

Once inside the house a look to the left will reveal the generously sized living room which not only has comfortable seating for two but also hides a Queen size Murphy bed! The arrangement is complete with two side tables, bookshelf storage, large windows on either side and even a ceiling fan. With a mounted, flat-screen TV and barn doors that close for seclusion, the area is perfect for a hideaway, guest bedroom, or media room. And if that weren’t enough, the ceilings are 12.5 feet tall. The space is cavernous for a tiny.

Center of the home and just inside the front door is the kitchen, which has a floor raised 18” from the rest of the house. That allows for completely hidden storage under the floor. However, with the 9.5 foot ceilings there is still plenty of headroom and space. The kitchen itself is outfitted with a propane 3-burner stove with oven, a microwave, a range exhaust hood, and a stacking fridge/freezer combo. The base cabinets are comprised of two large drawers, a double door cabinet, and a smaller pot/pan area. There is also two upper cabinets for more storage space. The sink is a single deep basin just in front of a large window. Across from the main countertop is a drop-down table for 3 and even a small fireplace for ultimate dining ambiance.

The kitchen is where you’ll find the ladder steps up to the main sleeping loft. They are well constructed and are actually quite deep in order to obscure even more storage. Once in the loft you are greeted by a very cozy space made even more comfortable by double cushion carpet, long sliding windows for circulation, warm beetle kill wood ceilings, and a height of right at 4.5 feet.

Throughout the house, the ceiling is beetle kill wood crafted to perfection with recessed, low voltage lighting. Both the kitchen and the living room have ceiling fans to help distribute air and temperature more evenly.

Continuing through the house you get to the full-size bathroom outfitted with an oversize vanity with two sliding drawers and a mirror just above. There is a washer/dryer combo in the bathroom with extra shelving above for storage. If that weren’t enough room though, the bathroom also has a full-size closet for hanging clothes or storing odds and ends like a vacuum cleaner and broom. The bathroom is kept private by a pocket door with full length mirror attached. The commode is a Nature’s Head composting toilet but the bathroom has been plumbed and is capable of accommodating a traditional flush commode. The shower is a 36” x 36” fiberglass, walled kit, with a large shower head and plenty of room to move about.

To complete the off-grid setup the house comes equipped with two large solar panels, a battery compartment, and 60 gallons of water storage. TV and appliances come with the home.
