About

The Arcadia: a tiny house with modern design and rustic details, built by America's premier tiny house builder, B&B Micro Manufacturing.

Dimensions: 8.5' x 20' 208 sq. ft. interior including a loft.

This model starts at $59,000; the pictured version is $89,000 with its custom details and premium fixtures and materials. The pictured model has already been sold. We build our tiny houses to order, so you can customize your tiny house to your style and budget.

The starting price of $59,000 is a basic tiny house. The base house includes: metal or vinyl exterior, available in many colors; a steel panel exterior door; solid wood shiplap interior walls and ceiling; a smaller, more basic kitchen with a mini-fridge, two-burner built-in electric cooktop, and sink; no deck or loft, (Murphy bed or sofabed) and a more basic bathroom with a fiberglass shower and pocket door.

The model pictured has premium upgrades including a shou sugi ban shiplap exterior; solid wood paneled doors with windows; a kitchen with built-in refrigerator drawers, a propane stove/oven with range hood; custom built-in cabinetry; a deck with custom branch rails, a queen sized sleeping loft; skylights; and a bathroom with custom tiling, a rain shower head, and built-in cabinetry.

Some available options, listed from generally least to most expensive:
Exterior: vinyl, metal, solid wood clapboard, solid wood shiplap (available on selected models)
Interior: Solid wood shiplap, drywall, beadboard accent
Fridge: Mini-fridge (see Hoosic and Hudson models for examples), apartment size fridge (see Stony Ledge, Silver Lake models for examples), drawer fridge (pictured in the Arcadia)
Countertops: engineered, butcher block, poured epoxy (shown in the Stony Ledge, Silver Lake, Hoosic and Hudson) poured concrete (shown in the Arcadia)
Cooking: two-burner built-in cooktop, propane stove/oven with range hood
Cabinetry: open shelving, custom cabinets
Shower or Tub: Fiberglass insert, custom tiled
Toilets: Bucket System, Dry-Flush, Macerating (recommended standard), composting, incinerating
Heating/Cooling: In-wall heater, in-wall A/C; minisplit (electric heating & cooling)
Choose any paint color. Choose your own fixture finish (brushed nickel, gold, rose gold, chrome, black, oil-rubbed bronze) and style as long as it meets the RVIA's standards. Engineered flooring is standard: it's durable, beautiful, and pictured in all our models. Please inquire about more options.

The Arcadia is able to be hooked up to utilities, such as an extension cord for power and a town sewer or septic system for fresh and waste water, or go completely off-grid with the addition of solar panels-- solar energy systems for tiny houses can cost anywhere between $3500-10,000, depending on your capacity needs.  There are fresh and black water tanks hidden beneath the futon for times you are off-grid or for cold days so you'll still have water if the hose freezes.  The heating and cooling minisplit unit (the compressor is outside, over the tongue of the trailer and the air handler is inside, above the kitchen door).  This tiny house was built to withstand extreme four-season weather conditions and has energy-efficient windows, insulation, and appliances.

The sleeping loft has a Queen size bed with a little extra floor space, and 360 degree views from bed.  The downstairs sofa is a futon which transforms into a full size bed, so the Arcadia can comfortably sleep up to 4.

Three skylights and multiple picture windows fill the space with light from all sides.  The ceiling is reclaimed barn wood and the floor is a durable vinyl, chosen to match the colors of the ceiling.

Premium fixtures and materials in the bathroom include a rain shower head, subway tiled shower, and a full-size macerating toilet which looks and flushed just like a regular toilet, but turns solid and liquid waste into an emulsion, making waste disposal much easier.

The kitchen has poured concrete counter tops, a three burner gas stove and oven, under-counter refrigerator drawers, a remote-controlled heating and cooling system, and a built-in Bluetooth audio system controlled by your phone.

The shiplap wood exterior is preserved using the Japanese woodburning technique of Shou Sugi Ban.  This technique protects against bugs, rot, and fire and although it has been in practice in Japan for many years, has recently become popular in the United States.

The Arcadia is RVIA Certified.
