About
We are so sad to part with this! The yurt is 20 feet in diameter, with 3 windows and a Dutch door (this is an upgrade: the top and bottom both swing open, and there is a window in the top half). The design has a unique "Floor cup" which can go directly on a flat surface and keeps the interior dry and clean. Like all yurts, it has a clear, round dome that acts as a skylight and an incredibly sturdy frame of lattice. It takes about one full day to put it up the first time, though it would be easier once you know the drill. There is a 46 page photo-illustrated instruction manual that we can email to you that explains everything and shows our actual yurt in progress.
Our yurt has only been used for one season. It was purchased in the summer of 2010. Sadly, our HOA requires that we only leave it up for 5 months at a time, and we have not had the time to put it up this year. Our loss is your gain!
Can't afford a cabin? Yurts are a great way to go. If you are new to the world of yurts, check out Becky Kemery's book, "Yurts, Living in the Round." So much potential!
We live in Aurora, but the yurt is stored on our property in Red Feather Lakes. We are happy to answer any questions you have in the meantime, and when you are ready to buy, we will meet you there and help you load it up on your truck.
