PRICE DROP - Miss Frizzle is ready for her next home

At first sight, Miss Frizzle is just a vintage style, slant nose school bus like you might see on an older episode of Leave It To Beaver! A peek under the hood will reveal more though. The bus has a 671 turbo slant Detroit Diesel with Allison transmission. In fact, the engine was rebuilt and installed around 2013 or 2014. It has just 169,000 miles on it. It’s important to note it is not the original engine but there have been no mechanical issues at all since its 2017 purchase date. The exterior is a pen and ink style custom mural by Australian artist @vondove. The name Miss Frizzle is a clever homage to Ms. Frizzle, a fifth-grade teacher at Walker Elementary School in the animated cartoon The Magic School Bus!



Entry into the tiny house is a standard swing bus door. The school bus has been converted with RV hookups and plumbing. The interior is quite large and outfitted with primarily deodar cedar (great for repelling pests!) The front portion of the bus (just behind the driver’s cockpit) is a living area with the original bus windows still intact and a sofa installed. There are 120V plugs throughout and the roof is insulated, keeping the curvature of the original Crown bus.

Behind the living area is the kitchen with both base cabinetry and some open shelving above the sink. In the kitchen are a mini-fridge/freezer, a toaster oven, and a 2-burner electric stove. The skoolie is amply sized for full-time living. There is also an unfinished shower stall in the middle of the floorplan (ready to be designed along with you, the buyer!) and room for a composting commode.

The rear of the skoolie is a dedicated bedroom complete with a queen bed. There is storage underneath the bed, a small closet in the bedroom and underneath the couch in the living room. It is both a great hangout space as well as a private bunkroom.

To stay cool in warmer environments there are 18 working school bus windows and to keep warm there is a built-in electric heater. There is a space and a vent prepared for a wood-burning stove. All of the exterior and interior lights are in working condition and the tiny house on wheels is registered, up-to-date, and registered as a Motorhome! In addition to all of that, there are also sand droppers in the front of the rear wheels which will help gain and keep traction in snowy and slick travels. Miss Frizzle is ready for you!
