Modern Meets Timelessness With This Tiny House On Wheels

Built on a 28’ long gooseneck trailer there is a tiny house farmhouse that currently sits near the Salinas River in Paso Robles, California, a city known for its wineries and olive groves. Built in 2020 the house is well planned and has a unique layout that offers space and comfort. From the outside, the 220 square foot home is quite modern with its black and white pallet, a mixture of horizontal and vertical siding, and sleek profile.

Powered by a 30-amp shore power system, the farmhouse has all the features of a larger, more expensive home. Walking through the entry door one is overwhelmed by natural light and pale colors throughout the open floor plan. From the vinyl laminate hardwood flooring to the pine countertops to the blond trim and white walls, there is plenty of natural light and fluidity throughout. Directly across from the entry is a full-size refrigerator, 4-burner gas range, stove, and ample counter space and cabinetry. The kitchen also has a stainless sink, a dropdown table, and a bar top that seats three comfortably and doubles as a workspace.

Right next to the kitchen is a wooden staircase that leads up to the spacious loft - King size - and sleeping area. With a glider window at both the headboard and footboard, the room offers plenty of spaciousness for a good night’s rest. Just below the loft and in a closed room is the bathroom which features a full-sized shower stall, traditional flush commode, and face basin and vanity. The partitioned room has a hinged door for full privacy and also has a small closet for storage, hanging items, or to accommodate a stacking washer/dryer! The shower and sinks offer hot water courtesy of an OLMO mini-split air conditioning and heat pump system.

Perhaps the most unusual but certainly most inviting part of the tiny house is the living room situated above the gooseneck that offers room for a sleeper sofa or even a small bed. Because of its layout and position in the house it is perfect for an office or a media room with enough uninterrupted wall space for a projector screen or large TV.
