Lovely Traditional Architecture on 20' Tiny House Shell

SUMMARY

This serene 20' cottage on wheels was built from Tumbleweed plans.

Windows, siding and metal roof were all professionally installed.

This shell was built on a new, heavy duty 8x20' equipment trailer that will easily bear the weight of a fully furnished tiny house.

ARCHITECTURAL HIGHLIGHTS:

Roof. Beautifully crafted, durable standing seam metal roof in slate blue with a low profile.

Siding. Mastic Ovation series vinyl, double 4-inch, in the color "Everest"

Trim. Roof fascias are cedar. Soffits are pine. Window trim is boral and is waiting to be painted the color of your choice.

Windows. All new windows, professionally installed. Included is a full set of removable screens. There are 12 windows, not including the panes on the front door.

Door. Full-width (29") reclaimed door adds a homey charm and will allow apartment-sized appliances to be carried in and out. (The original Tumbleweed plans included a custom-built door that was too narrow to allow this, so we chose a wider door.)


INTERIOR DIMENSIONS:

(Note that these measurements do not include the width of the wall framing; this is actual usable floor space.)

Main Level: 6'6" x 19'6"

Sleeping Loft: 6'6" x 10'. Height of loft at its highest point is 41" from loft floor to ridge beam. This loft is large enough to fit a King mattress and still have extra length for you to enjoy as open space, or for your personalized storage.

Mini Loft: 6'6" x 3'. Height of loft at its highest point is 41" from loft floor to ridge beam.
