Lil’ Blue is an adorable little tiny house on wheels parked in the Iowa countryside living her almost best life. The only thing missing is you! For an incredibly reasonable price you can call this 20’ long tiny house on wheels home.

Built in 2015 on a trailer and licensed and registered as an RV Lil’ Blue is perfect for a young couple or an individual. Blue is 160 sq.ft. with a 64 sq.ft. sleeping loft. Built with a shed roof the entire home is stick built with a Tyvek house wrap and painted LP SmartSide. The home also has an exterior shed storage space on the trailer tongue with access to the breaker box that offers 15” x 60" interior storage space inside. There is also a small 2’ x 3’ front porch or covered entry. Once inside the house is a true open concept with a door only to partition off the bathroom.

Upon entry a glance to the left will reveal an L-shaped bench that cleverly hides the 47-gallon water tank and a good deal of storage. The walls are clad in white shiplap panels and with 6 windows total (2 crank outs in the loft, 2 crank outs in the living room, 1 casement in the living area, and 1 stationary above the kitchen sink) there is plenty of natural light to brighten up the space and make it appear bigger than it is.

The kitchen of Lil’ Blue features an apartment-sized refrigerator (with a chalkboard freezer front), a gas oven with a 4-burner stove, an apron or farm style sink, and an Eccotemp on-demand hot water heater (gas). In addition, the countertop is topped with marble and really adds an air of sophistication to the space.

The bathroom in Lil’ Blue is highly functional in that it has corrugated metal shower walls, a fiberglass shower pan and a “loveable loo” composting toilet. There is even a vent that circulates stale air to the outside of the house.

The loft is accessible by a ladder and accommodates a full queen size mattress. There is also room for storage and plenty of headroom.

In terms of infrastructure, all of the PVC grey water drain pipes are stubbed out to the bottom exterior of the home under both the bathroom (shower) and the kitchen (sink). Lil’ Blue has a standing seam metal roof, an external vent for the tankless on-demand hot water heater, and an external connection for propane gas hook-up.
