About
What is it: The New Horizon was the first fiberglass boat built. It was designed in 1958 by Ray Greene and introduced in 1961. Only 175 boats were built during the production run. So this is a rare find! More on the history of fiberglass boats can be found in Daniel Spurr's book, "Heart of Glass: Fiberglass Boats and the Men Who Made Them".
Why I love it: She's reliable and sails daily. Great interior layout, high ceiling, plenty of natural light in the cabin. Truly ready for sailing and entertaining. She has an Atomic 4 engine which is a powerful engine for this boat. Runs great.
Design: She sleeps four, has mainsail and jib (both in excellent condition). She recently had a makeover and has new custom cushions for the cabin and cockpit.
Perfect for: Anyone that wants a summer adventure, great for families and tiny home living.
There's an issue with the keel. The centerboard keel will not lower. In spite of that it still sails great. Includes cradle.
