In Northern Utah sits a 1991 Thomas school bus with an International Diesel DT466 (diesel) engine and Alison transmission converted into an efficient and livable space. At 40’ long the bus is every bit a skoolie missing only an adventurous owner.

Painted a light grey color but still sporting its original light housing, windows (save the three covered on each side), and overall look. In fact, entry is through a conventional outward swinging door with latch and rod assembly and leads up to an original - although not terribly comfortable - bus driver seat. A turn down the aisle reveals a much different story though.

Just behind the driver’s door is a full size fridge freezer across from a comfortable, 4-cushion leather sofa. The flooring is a laminate wood product and is easy to clean up and perfect for heavy traffic.

Running along the driver’s side of the bus and just past the fridge is a base cabinet with ample storage. The countertop is made of butcher block and houses an extra wide inset sink. Just past the couch is a custom built drop down table that is perfect for eating on or working on. The kitchen, while utilitarian, is thoughtful and highly functional.

Before the bunk house and the master bedroom is a hammock chair and a bathroom that has both a toilet hookup (unplumbed toilet included) and a shower stall. The bus also has a solar setup behind the driver’s seat that provides 400 watts of solar power, including a 200-amp lithium battery. The bunkhouse itself actually has three single beds perfect for kids or traveling companions.

At the rear of the bus is the primary bedroom which has a queen sized bed, storage, and an exit door for a secondary egress.
