Custom Built Cedar Tiny House (Sale Pending)

2018 - 24' tiny house build by cabinet maker and master finisher to create a work of art.

This was a passion project build by my wife and I that we planned to have for a long time, but circumstances have forced us to sell.

All interior and exterior clear finished cedar is old growth. that came from old high tension power lines. This cedar is not only beautiful but very light. It was planned down to 1/2" from the original 1" to make it even lighter. The cedar is really the highlight of this build. All the cedar was finished on both sides before installation. This will keep the finish looking great for many years.

The JELD-WEN windows were brand new when constructed. The dining table window was replaced in April 2021 for a larger French window to replace the smaller window I felt was to small.

Trailer was custom built by Wright Trailers located in Seekonk Massachusetts. They had built several tiny home trailers at this point and really new what they were doing. I could not be happier with this trailer. It’s a dual axle design. The tiny house tows really smoothly.

Exterior siding is all cedar. The clear cedar was finished with an oil based exterior finish on both sided and has held up to the weather now for3+ years.

On the inside of the tiny house, you will see from the images that there is cedar woodwork everywhere. The light above the lofts and bathroom ceiling are the light I made with the cedar. Countertops are birch plywood that I finished with an Exterior clear finish that is extremely durable and water resistant. Still looks great after 3 years. This plywood is a lot lighter than traditional countertops like granite or even butcher block. The same finish is on the stair treads and handrail.
Bathroom shower is galvanized metal roofing with a custom shower pan.
The bathroom ceiling, the 2 loft ceilings, the kitchen cabinets, stairs, and the bathroom vanity are all finished with a white water-based lacquer finish that is water and moisture resistant. Still flawless after 3 years of use.
Flooring is a vinyl product that holds up to a lot of traffic.
All the windows excluding the new French window come with privacy blinds and valances.
Interior walls are a ½” light weight plywood.

Important non features

There is currently no minisplit. We do not use this house in the winter so we just use 2 electric wall heaters in the early spring and late fall. And If it gets hot enough we just put an air conditioner in the window.

There are no tanks. We are at a campground and just hook up to the water system via a hose.

There are some exposed pipes underneath the house that would need to be heated and insulated if someone plans on spending cold winter months in the house.
