About:
The story of our modern shipping container home — Built in Hernando County, FL by a dad-inlaw/daughter/son team, originally shipped from Tampa Bay. It’s been nestled near the Croom Forest woods for two years, slowly being worked on. It was a dream of mine and my husband’s to have a tiny house in the woods, however we are very passionate about living out West instead, where we’ve been for the last few years. We are huge foodies, so the middle section was planned to be a huge kitchen, but can be divided up into living/kitchen. One end is framed for a bathroom, while the other is meant to be the bedroom for queen or king size pedestal bed. This is a great opportunity to either finish to live in yourself, or a great option to flip & resell! Either way, we hope to find good people to love and finish the home, making it their own unique dream house!

Details:
It’s a 40' hi-cube shipping container shell+framing tiny house, set atop 4 railroad ties, and can be picked up by a flatbed easily. Dimensions are 40L ’x8’W x9.6’H. We originally had it delivered to us via flatbed from Tampa, & it cost $300, to give you a general idea of transport costs. We've spot treated all the rust spots, and painted the majority of the container a dark grey (color is Mark Twain Grey), with a white roof. Purchase includes all paints. It’s only been moved once from Tampa to the site location in Brooksville, FL. It has NOT been wired or plumbed because we stopped at that stage, because of the customization involved in such an endeavor...ie. you may not want the same appliances as we planned to have etc. In tiny homes, space is gold, and if an appliance I thought would be perfect for us, that took a 20amp breaker, may not be right for you ;)
...Also, as you can see from the photos, the front has six huge double-paned, insulated, Pella windows, two that are large French doors, meant to be opened out onto a deck. Custom made, with a touch-keypad doorknob included for installation, and mounted turn buckles to keep them from sagging. These doors were an incredible project themselves and are worth over $10,000 alone.

Thanks for looking at our little home, and we hope you see it as cool and awesome as we see it when finished!
