Why not own and live in a piece of tiny house on wheels history? Built in 2018 this 26’ long tiny house on wheels is an original Tumbleweed Tiny House and has a beautiful design that maximizes interior space while showcasing a modern exterior. It has been lovingly maintained and is ready to be lived in today!

Built on a tandem axle, heavy-duty trailer, the home is built using traditional framing methods and then wrapped in an interesting mix of cedarwood and bronze standing seam metal. Entry is on the short wall of the house at the rear of the trailer which allows for maximum floor space. The entry door also has a full glass panel and coupled with the large picture window next to it, is perfect for letting in natural light for the home. There are nine additional windows that help to naturally illuminate the wood interior.

With a king-size sleeping loft as well as a queen-size flex bed space downstairs, the luxury tiny home accommodates four adults or a young family. Unlike many other tiny house designs the 314 overall square feet does not use the main living area at the front of the house as a hybrid sleeping space. The flex bedroom is actually at the rear of the house (the tongue side of the trailer) and could even be used as a small home office, game room, or child’s room! Brilliant design.

Inside the home is a galley-style kitchen with the workspace on one side and storage on the other. With a medium size fridge/freezer combo in brushed metal, a conduction 2-range stovetop, a hood vent above, a stainless steel sink, base cabinets, and open shelving on the walls, what the kitchen may lack in size, it makes up for in functionality. The two doors across from the workspace conceal a full wardrobe closet in one and pantry storage plus the hot water heater tank in the other. The tank is a 28-gallon residential unit manufactured by Bradford White and offers ample hot water for several people to shower back to back. To add climate-controlled comfort to the home, heating and cooling are supplied by a Mitsubishi mini-split unit just above the entry door.

Moving through the downstairs of the home, just beyond the dual closets is the stairs leading up the large loft. With a handrail leading up and then a spindled guard rail along the outer perimeter, the loft is quite safe for all ages. The sleeping loft has two windows (one on each side) for natural light and circulation. There is enough headroom to sit up in bed and move about comfortably.

Back downstairs and through a door is the bathroom which has storage (conveniently on the underside of the loft staircase), a single cabinet vanity and sink, an RV-style foot flush commode, and a 32” shower stall. The bathroom also has a circulation vent overhead and open shelving throughout.

Passing through the bathroom takes you to the flex bed space which as mentioned before could serve well as a small home office, a game room, a media room, or a second bedroom. The options are limitless and this is a true bonus for this tiny house on wheels.
