Tiny House on Wheels can sometimes be a misnomer and such is the case for this incredible, triple axle, rustic tiny home. From the scrolled trim above the fender well to the retractable awning, rough hewn wood to the tin ceiling, this 424 square foot home is nothing short of a cozy log cabin with an intelligent use of space. Even better though is that the listing price is affordable and perhaps a bit shy for the quality of home.

The house itself is 30 ft. long and 8 ft. wide on a trailer manufactured by Eagle Trailers with an enclosed underbelly. It has a whopping 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, including a bathroom on the 2nd floor! Traditionally framed with 2x4 and 2x6 lumber, the house is not certified by any particular entity but is obviously built above standards. The siding is painted T1-11 with white trim. The roof is standing seam metal with overhang and power comes from a 50-amp external connection. The walls are insulated with R-19 while the floor and ceiling is R-30. Combined with propane heat, electric floor heat, heated tile in the house, it stays plenty warm during the colder months. During summer air conditioning is provided by a wall mount unit.

There is also a propane powered wall heater right at the kitchen to cut the chill on early mornings while making that first cup of coffee. The full-size refrigerator is electric, the dishwasher is electric, and the oven is electric. The washer and dryer (separate units) located across from the kitchen workspace are electric and cleverly built into the area just below the stairs to the bedrooms on either side of the house. All water features in the house are powered by a propane on demand hot water heater.

Above the entry door of the house is bedroom #1 and can be used as a non-private sleeping space or as its current configuration, a television/reading nook big enough for even a recliner! Underneath the loft is a living or entry area that is best thought of as a parlor. It is the perfect place to welcome guests, gaze out the oversized window or turn into a mudroom entry.

Bedroom #2 is located just past the kitchen and is matched with bathroom #1. It is a large, private space closed off by double doors. The bathroom has a traditionally plumbed commode, a custom tile shower stall with bench, and a small sink with shelves underneath. Through the bathroom is bedroom #2 and it is just big enough for a double bed and nightstand.

Bedroom #3, coupled with bathroom #2, makes up the master suite and it is located upstairs above bedroom #2. It is a large sleeping area with two windows, a closet rod, shelves, and entry into a private commode area with a sink. It is perfectly designed for anyone that doesn’t want to climb up and down from a loft in the middle of the night.

This tiny house truly does have too many nuances and details to accurately describe with words. It is a gem and is full of charm as its title suggests.
