About

This tiny home on wheels was built in 2018 in a warehouse in Everett, Washington by Carriage Houses NW. The crew at Carriage Houses NW customized this tiny home to have nontoxic pains, stains and flooring. They also customized it to air out well to prevent mold by adding ventilation around the ceiling.

I bought this tiny home to recover from getting sick in a moldy house, and only brought new furniture, clothing, etc to this home so it is still free of toxic mold. I made a full recovery in this gorgeous oasis having lived her for 2.5 years, and am now ready to buy my kids and I a bigger space.

I would happily live here forever if I didn't have kids, but they are getting older and the pandemic has made parenthood in a tiny home much more challenging. I highly recommend this home for anyone that doesn't have children and is sensitive to toxic mold and chemicals, as this will be an ideal space for recovery and wellness.

Electricity is utilized via a 50 amp extension cord connecting to a 50amp outlet on the main house of the property. We get our water from a potable hose connected to the main house. There is a tankless hot water heater that operates with propane located on the exterior of the home. The home is heated with an electric heater attached to the wall near the kitchen, which heats up the house very quickly.

Bathroom:
There is a composting toilet in the bathroom by Nature's Head with ventilation via a tube that goes outdoors. There is a washer and dryer in the bathroom. The dryer operates with propane. There is also an RV tub with shower head. Towel rack and toilet paper holder included.

Kitchen:
The counter tops are butcher board. There is a propane stovetop. There are 2 stainless steel sinks. I installed shelving that is helpful for storing spices, tea supplies, utensils, and hanging pots and pans. I added an island that you may keep if you find it useful like I did. I utilized a convection toaster oven on the bottom of the island.

Living room:
I installed shelving in the living room for books and a printer for my video editing office area. I found having a futon and very helpful for use as a couch and having guests over. I also found an ottoman helpful for storage, as well as a fold out table.

There are two lofts which were used as bedrooms. One is bigger than the other. I used two toppers to create bedding for the kids and me to have more head space.

There is built in storage under the stairs.

We invested $2,000 for the deck, which is included if you want it.

There are window decals that are easily removable, and curtain rods on 3 of the windows.

The interior walls are made of pine which is inherently mold resistant.

Damages:
I practice Steel Mace Vinyasa in the tiny home and there is a small dent on the stair railing, a black mark on the electric heater, and there are scratches here and there on the flooring from moving furniture. The RV tub came with a little damage, but it is fully functional. There are a few stains on the cupboards in the kitchen.
