About

We are selling our 2023 Escape eVista built by popular tiny home manufacturer Escape Traveler.
We got this unit custom built in May of 2023. We added many of the optional upgrades when we ordered it. A spec sheet is included in the pictures and the yellow highlights are all upgrades we did. Mainly the 50amp/240 electrical upgrade (so you can basically run all appliances at once). The A/C heat pump for efficiency (it still has separate electrical heating in the living room and bathroom if it were to get too cold for the heat pump). The induction cook top and hood. And a full size fridge.
There is no loft in this tiny home (we just don't like lofts). It has a full bathroom incl. a regular flushing toilet. You can convert it to composting toilet if you want to. It's perfect for a mother in law suit, a vacation home, Airbnb, or full time living if you don't mind downsizing.
Water is connected through a regular garden hose. This is a fully electric unit, so no gas for cooking or heating. There is no tank for gray/black water. It has regular plumbing that will connect through a pipe or flex hose to a septic system. The tiny home is approx. 200sqft. 23.5 x 8.5ft (+ 4ft hitch).

Per the builder's website, all units are RVIA inspected and certified.
According to the builder the R value of the unit is as follows: Standard models often achieve R-22 in walls, R-30 in floors, and R-40 in ceilings, providing excellent thermal protection for year-round living.

Reason for selling:
We used to live in CT and had a vacation property in NY where we parked the tiny home. We moved to NC last year and sold our property in NY, so now the tiny home is parked in our driveway (blocking the garage) and we just don't have a use for it anymore.

Price:
We paid $55k (incl. delivery from Wisconsin) back in 2023. The base price of the eVista was around $48,000 back then. Checking now, the base price is at $54,000! So getting the same unit we have today would cost over $60,000!
We are asking $44,000 which I think is fair considering today's new price and the fact that the unit isn't even 3 years old.

PLEASE do not waste your time and mine if you don't have the money! I am NOT going to seller finance. You will not get a typical RV loan for this, because it isn't a typical RV. If your credit is good, you can get a personal loan (we used LightStream before and liked them) or you can try your local credit union. That's pretty much your only option outside of cash in the bank. I'm not interested in any trades etc. Please have the money issue sorted out before you come look at it. Thank you.

If you decide to buy it, we can meet at your bank and do a cash or wire transaction. I will sign over the title to you at the bank (since it required a notary in NC) and we can even go to the license plate office in Burlington together so you can get your plates that day and I can cancel my registration and turn in my plate.

It's currently registered and insured just like any other RV would be. I only pay about $150 in insurance for it (every 6 months) and I am happy to put you in touch with my personal insurance agent, but your rate will more than likely differ! (I have 2 cars, a house, and life insurance through them so I get a good deal on anything I insure through them).

The only imperfection that this unit has is that the vinyl flooring is lifting in one spot under the dining table. I'm pretty sure it's because that spot heats up a lot since it's south facing and I forgot to put down the curtains on some really hot days. It may or may not go back down as time goes on, but I am selling it as is. I know it's not a water issue because it hasn't been hooked up to the water and there are no leaks or water stains anywhere.

The pictures you see are a mix from how it looks right now (unfurnished and empty) and how it used to look when we had it on our vacation property.

Feel free to contact me with any questions that weren't answered in this post.
