The Tiny Home was built from a travel trailer that we converted. The interior was stripped down to the studs and the floor plan was changed to create the Tiny House appearance and feel inside. Since it is a travel trailer foundation, it allows it to be mobile and used at any RV park like any traditional travel trailer would be. However, the best use of this home would still be primarily stationary on full hook ups.

This home would be ideal for either a single person or couple that enjoys living at a park full time. It would also be suitable for small families as an occasional getaway or vacation style home if parked permanently with full hook ups. A little about the home…

The home is filled with the amenities that you would typically find in a residential home. With the walls removed we spray foamed the seams and also added fiberglass insulation which keeps the home cozy and comfortable at all times. The A/C system was replaced with a Mini Split residential system that you see in most Park Model homes and does both cool air and heat. This system with the well insulated walls works amazing inside. We also added a residential style Refrigerator, Toaster Oven, and Electric Hot Water Heater. We switched to all 120V appliances so that the trailer does not require the use of propane, and is why it is most suitable being parked permanently with full electrical and water hookups.

The water supply lines were replaced with newer Pex piping with an integrated water filter and pressure accumulator tank. This setup provides smooth and perfect water pressure like you would experience in a residential home as well. The sinks are all residential models, while the toilet is a Dometic standard height rv model with ceramic bowl, that again gives you the look and feel of a traditional home.

The home will comfortably sleep 4-6 people as there is the Full Size fold down Murphy bed, the twin bunk beds, and the couch also folds down to double as a futon sleeper. There is also ample storage in the loft above, under the bunk beds, the storage cabinet by the fold down wall desks, and a full size wardrobe closet with mirror. The foldable desks offer plenty of work space, fold in for more room, or can double up as an extension of the kitchen counter to prepare food or simply use to dine on. There is also a folding dining table that can be used for couch seating.

We are selling this home because it is just too large for our needs and we would prefer to travel regularly again. There is still quite a bit of finishing trim work that needs completed, as well as completing the barn door for the bathroom, and doors to cover the Murphy bed wall system. These are items we left if you would prefer to finish or customize on your own, or we may be able to help complete prior to sale. Otherwise, the home is entirely livable and functional as is. The entire roof was replaced with new OSB paneling for a solid and secure structure. The new TPO roof membrane may need to be re-glued or coated as it does bubble up on the highway from air flow, though it shows no signs of leaking. The trailer can be transported and we would be willing to assist in delivery if needed, but again the trailer will work best as mostly being parked in a permanent location.

Additionally, we would also consider any reasonable offers to buy the trailer stripped down. As we plan to build out a smaller trailer next, we would entertain removing the appliances, cabinets, and furnishings so that you could use the trailer as a great starting point for your own DIY Tiny Home project!
