16' Custom Tiny Home "The Wigeon"

Custom tiny house for sale, built locally in Silvana, Washington. This 176 sq. ft. home is full of thoughtfully handcrafted details and built on a 16’ Iron Eagle trailer specifically designed for tiny homes. The main floor features high ceilings and 5 windows, providing a bright and spacious feel. A roomy custom sofa provides enough space to sleep and has plenty of storage underneath for shoes or other bulky items. The handmade folding leaf table is perfect for eating meals or working on a laptop, and seats three comfortably. Highlighting the kitchen are an oak butcher block countertop and deep undermount stainless sink with stainless pull-down Delta faucet. Adjacent to the sink is a medium sized 4.5 cubic foot fridge and freezer combo. Three countertop outlets mean plenty of options for powering an efficient two or three burner induction cooktop or other appliances. Hidden under the countertop at the end of the kitchen is an efficient 7-gallon water heater and hookups for a small washing machine, or alternatively can provide ample storage for large items. Custom handmade cabinets feature 6 full-extension drawers and soft close hinges. Turn around in the kitchen and you’ll see a pantry area with shelving for spices, teas, and mason jars, along with another 3 drawers (9 total!) perfect for larger pantry items. Above the pantry drawers is closet space for clothing storage. The bathroom features a low maintenance 32” fiberglass shower stall, small porcelain sink with stainless Delta faucet, and space for a Nature’s Head composting toilet or small flush toilet. Utilize the bathroom shelving for toiletries and other small items. Back in the main living area, a ladder leads to the sleeping loft, which features a skylight that fully opens for access to the roof, several shelving options, and a place for storing clothes using the Konmari folding method. The loft space is large enough for a queen size bed with some breathing room. The house can maintain a comfortable living temperature all year long thanks to an efficient 115v mini-split heat pump and air conditioner. Cork floors throughout the house provide comfort and warmth underfoot.

This house was built using the knowledge gained from building and living in a tiny house for 5 years with my partner. The layout is similar to our current home, and would work well for one or two people with the drive to live a more minimalist lifestyle. Many of the components in this house including the cabinets, couch, table, ladder, doors, and light fixtures are handmade, using original designs and wood sourced from our property. A large portion of wood in this home was milled from wind-felled trees on our 30 acre property—including cedar, fir, hemlock, and big-leaf maple. Be satisfied knowing your home was built using sustainably sourced, local lumber that was not imported from another country or transported half-way across the country.
