The Writer’s Haven is a charming, one-room cabin with a built-in desk and daybed that can be used for creating, relaxing, playing, or as extra storage.

This versatile cabin has many uses: guest house, home office, farm stand, camp improvement, or even as your own, handmade tiny home. (Ask us about solar, electric, insulation, and composting toilet options!)

Our Jamaica Cottage Shop Pre-Cut Kits include all the necessary lumber and supplies you will need to build your own Vermont Cottage with each piece already cut to size. Our kits are geared toward do-it-yourself homeowners who understand the basics of framing a building or professional contractors. The included Step-by-Step plans for assembly are set up in an easy-to-understand format and are not blueprint in style.

Handmade in Vermont using traditional Post and Beam construction from native rough sawn timber, the Writer’s Haven is inspired by Henry David Thoreau’s cabin on Walden Pond.

Have your own cabin in the woods, wherever you may be.

And check out our Monthly Price List for our other tiny house models and sheds.

Or purchase our detailed, Step-by-Step plans for only $50, available for the Writer’s Haven as well as many other models.

    Hello,

I would like to know if someone wants to donate one of these homes to homeless people in LA.I had that idea of providing those homes in a land where they share bathrooms or showers, and have staff making sure they r safe so this idea can be good for any community it can start hope and motivation.

Please tell everyone u know at the churches who might start such donations.

    thanks and God bless you!!!
