Many tiny house lovers are big fans of housetrucks so I’m excited to share this beauty with you. Back in 2010 Alex and Hannah of New Zealand set out to build a home for themselves with a 1985 Hino truck as the foundation.
Over the course of more than a year they slowly but surely turned the truck into their current home. The project started out with stripping the truck down to the basics and then they built a steel frame to serve as the shape of the home. They then broke the entire build down into mini bite-sized projects and tackled each and went down the list. Much of the wood was milled for them by local milling companies.
Alex and Hannah’s housetruck just after they purchased it and before they began work on making it their new home.
Their housetruck is now parked in quiet spot in Nelson, New Zealand and tucked up against a meandering stream.
New Zealand seems to be the hotspot for housetrucks and Alex and Hannah’s housetruck ranks right up there with the most beautiful I have seen.

Thanks Alex for sharing!
