Welcome to Gratitudebuilders.com newest model, "The country Artist". A home designed for those who want to take control of their finances, allowing time for you and your crafts. Our homes combine the most efficient technologies with diligent craftsmanship, leading to a timeless design that will be sure to last for generations. We stand behind our homes because we live in them.
I) About this model-

"The Country Artist" is inspired by the American homesteading ranches that now dot our rural landscapes. This is prevalent in the roofing design which uses gambrel trusses, maximizing liveable space and large water catchment capabilities. Building upon American folk art, you will find that every surface of this house is crafted with poetic patience. From the outside the home resembles a classic country barn with action painting trim.  Lap-siding Pine is covered with three layers of burgundy exterior paint.

II) Trailer-

Built on top of a high steel 8 x 12 Hudson trailer (www.hudsontrailers.com/), the country artist maximizes square footage space with an added utilities space and balcony. With a 150 sqft (including loft and balcony) footprint allows its users to park this home virtually anywhere. The trailer has a six prong plug-in with magnetic braking system for safe travels. Four new semi tires rated for 3500lbs a piece securely hold the home and users items. The trailer can be moved by our staff for a reasonable traveling fee depending on mileage.

III) Inside-

what makes our homes one of a kind is the use of 30% upcycled materials. "Carpe Diem" is the motto that we have embodied as we seize materials that would soon be left for the landfill. The first thing that you will strike your eye is the unique hardwood pattern designs throughout. Disguised within board patterns, mathematical sequences are frozen lesson plans for others to contemplate.

a) Living Room

The living room consists of two unique sitting areas. One is a modular table with a cedar chest bench. The "neapolitan" hardwood table has three different height adjustments which is suspended from a cable allowing for more foot room. The second is a built-in reclined floor station with tea/book space. The house is heated with 2015 Rinnai ® propane/NG wall heater. The unit sits quietly in the corner providing more than enough heat for the house. A humidity pan comes equipped with this model (We like to add essential oils to the pan for an arohma therapy option). Air is circulated within the house with a westinghouse ® 6 blade fan with light

b) Kitchen

The kitchen is located in the back of the house with a linear design. The back of the home contains a full scale kitchen (two door mini fridge, 4 burner propane stove and double rack oven, deep base sink with swan neck faucet, overhead dish drying rack, variable fume hood, 2'x 3' counter space and deep drawer cabinets.). The overhead fume hood and sliding window allows for adequate ventilation while cooking and/or summer air flow. A half wall is used as a divider between the kitchen and living room. The wall contains a shelving system designed to hold Ball ® Mason jars securely while traveling. Depending on the user's preferences, the dividing wall can be used as composting toilet room or storage. A five gallon portable composting system comes with the house, allowing users to use in or outside depending on needs.

c) Loft

Built upon North Carolina Aromatic cedar, the sleeping loft maximizes head space with an arched ceiling. Inspired by Mughal architecture, the arched ceiling allows air to flow through both ends of the building ensuring movement of outside breeze. Unique to our model is a 400 lb rated balcony for both a relaxing sunrise space and emergency exit. The loft is accessed with a custom built ladder that locks into a steel hand bar.

d.) Special Features

Working with Art in the Dairy (www.Artinthedairy.com), our homes uses custom framed glass mosaics at the entrance. outside light reacts with the pieces, illuminating the entire house. An outside hot and cold shower rests on the left side of the building. The decision to build outside gives more freedom to users as they are not confined to small enclosure found in most tiny houses and also prevents water damage caused by indoor showers. The sides of the house have 1/2 in hooks attached below the roof for canopy extension. Using a standard 12'x 10' tarps, the house's footprint can be tripled for dry use and greater water catchment capabilities.

Add on's

The loft comes with a plastic wrapped firm queen size memory foam mattress. Also Included are four full propane tanks.

IV) Utilities

Our homes are designed to operate on or off grid depending on the user's access to utilities (i.e, electricity, water, LP or NG). Each house is designed with a secured storage space that contains access points to water, electricity and propane. With the option of solar tie in, users can purchase a solar system to run their homes in remote locations or simply avoid grid tied fees. The water is heated with an Ecotemp ® on-demand propane water heater. Using a standard 5/8" female fitting, water can easily supplied via a garden hose or the option of adding a water pump for rainwater catchment.  Gratitudebuilders.com
