Airstream Caravel Mobile Office

The crew at Hofmann Architecture recently completely the renovation of a 17 ft., 1967 Airstream Caravel intended to serve as a mobile office for Matthew Hofmann, owner of the firm. A frequent traveler, his updated Airstream allows him the necessary work space to keep doing business, even while on vacation.

Taking his Airstream out and about also gives him the opportunity to share his company’s work with others that might be interested in owning a renovated airstream. So far the company has received some positive feedback on their latest of many Airstream renovations. Here are some photos of their little Airstream Caravel, what do you think?

The Caravel Airstream features a workspace, storage, full kitchen and a bathroom with shower.

The Caravel has a fold-down desk tucked against the fall, a under counter fridge and a large seating area that converts into a bed with the push of a button.

The kitchen area has a stainless steel stove top and sink with filtered and unfiltered water.

The bathroom has two separate water tanks. One for grey water and one for black water.

The enclosed shower is made from 100% recycled glass tiles.

The work area ready for some on-the-road productivity.

The roof-mounted solar array provides 270 water of power and charges a battery bank consisting of three batteries. The panels are bendable to curve to the shape of the Airstream.

That is a very nice and well kept Mobile Office. It can also be used as an RV which is nice because you basically get a two for one. Thanks for the post :)
